Southwest Columbus Recreational Riders Club

Mid Ohio has a new cycling club-- the Southwest Columbus Recreational Riders.

The Recreational Riders are dedicated to riding for fun and fitness. We're not out to win any races, and going as fast as possible has lost its charm for us. We aren't necessarily "old folks", but, we get our kicks just riding bikes.

It doesn't matter if you have a road bike, hybrid, comfort bike, commuter, touring bike, you're welcome to join. Ride what you have and make the most of it! You can always upgrade if you get passionate about riding.

We don't charge dues. We just meetup and ride. We talk bikes and riding. We talk touring. We talk shop. We might even talk about racing, but we leave that to the pros.

The MISSION of this "club" is to promote and advocate bicycling and bike safety. It's about getting fit and staying that way. We don't want to see anyone get hurt because of unsafe riding habits; but, we also understand that motorists are often to blame when someone gets hurt, so, one of our primary goals is to help educate motorists that bicycles are legal road vehicles and are actually not supposed to be ridden on sidewalks.

Help us make our neighborhood streets safer for everyone.
